Homestay in Melbourne, Australia

I am Elissa and I am a single mother with one daughter. I live with my daughter who is 10 years old and we have two homestay rooms available to international students. We have a cat called Cookie and a Lizard in an aquarium called Lizzie (and a couple of gold fish in a pond). We live in beautiful leafy Malvern East which is very close to Melbourne's most renown shopping mall called Chadstone. It's two minutes walk to the train station which goes directly into the city of Melbourne and has all connecting train lines. We also have buses and trams nearby. The house is a beautiful Californian bungalow style with a leafy landscaped front and rear garden. We have hosted homestay students from many, many countries over a ten year period.The room is a large modern carpeted room, privately located on the second floor of the house. It has a large cupboard and a desk, a side table, comfortable bed with new mattress. All linen is provided to you as well as towels and blankets. The room has a lovely tree-filled, high view of the surrounding areas. There is both heating and cooling. The two homestay rooms are on the second floor of the house which is like a private retreat with a bathroom and mezzanine living area/home office. Downstairs in the main house is a gorgeous kitchen and lounge area, laundry, bathroom (for me and my daughter), our bedrooms, entrance hall and powder room. We like our homestay students to be independent and the rooms are perfect for those who enjoy their privacy. As a single mum, I am very busy as I run my own businesses. My daughter learns the Chinese and French my contact pageze loves the students that stay here. She learns from them and they learn from her. We have many after school and weekend activities/commitments but Sunday is always family day which we can find time to share with our students. I cook daily yummy meals for the household and sometimes we dine at restaurants together. We will visit zoos, show you the city and take you to markets if you want to join us. We enjoy bike riding also. We know you will love our home and our small family.
