Who we are? We are a couple in our 70s/80s who are well-educated and retired teachers. We have been hosting students for over 10 years now from countries such as China, India, the Caribbean Islands, Turkey and Korea. We have also travelled extensively, visiting a new country each year.
This room and house are ideal for serious students. It's located in a safe neighbourhood surrounded by lush green trees and is very close to public transportation.
We are originally from India and have been in Australia for over 35 years. Our three daughters are grown up and have moved out.
We enjoy watching TV, as well as playing Scrabble and chess.
We are a vegetarian family.
We are currently looking for a female student who is focused on her studies and would like to live in a spacious, clean, and modern house. We are seeking someone responsible, clean, and treat the house and its members with care and respect."
Your room is spacious and well-lit with natural light. It is furnished with a comfortable queen-sized bed, a desk equipped with a lamp, and a large wardrobe for storing your belongings. The room has a soft carpeted floor. However, in case we have more students, you may have to share the bathroom, toilet, lounge, and sitting area with others.
We've had a lot of success hosting and recently had to say goodbye to our last Melbourne Uni student who stayed with us for four years.
